A Little Sunday Reading

This morning we're going to send you over to The Telegraph, a UK newspaper that recently featured an article about high end and celebrity real estate agents in Los Angeles. It's a fun walk through the lifestyles of the people who sell homes to the rich and famous.

And don't you know, the nice writer even mentioned our little blog in the article.

Good morning Mama. Very informative and interesting article, thankyou. I don't think Stephen Shapiro did himself or his agency any favors though. Dishing the dirt on high end clients he identified by name dosen't seem like very good repeat business strategy, and comments referring to his clientele in general like "you have to passively-aggressively reassure them" as if they are children didn't warm my heart either. I might do business with Kurt, but never someone like Steven.

And congrats on your mention in the UK newspaper! The 'little blog' is growing and going places :)

The people he mentioned are likely past clients & not current clients ... I don't think he said anything that clients don't know already - it's a business after all ... they have a great reputation here so I doubt this article will do anything to harm their success ... & most clients wont even read the article ...

ok Anon, but where I grew up you don't bite the hand that feeds you, most especially businesses. We lived in California awhile back in Woodside which isn't exactly for the financial faint of heart either, and I can unequivocally state that chit don't fly there. I admit the more I learn about L.A. the less I understand it.

He's a nice guy & his clients know that ... if his clients were worried about that info getting out then they would have an iron clad confidentiality agreement ... At the end of the day, it's hollywood .... it's called show'business' NOT show'friendships'!

Also, forgot to say ... several of the ppl he mentioned were shown 'a home' by him ... which would mean he merely showed them one of his listings & he wasn't acting as the celebrity buyers broker ...
