Update: Ed McMahon

Listen my precious puppies, together we all endured last week's media maelstrom about bold and brassy billionaire Donald Trump reportedly stepping in to purchase poor Ed McMahon's Los Angeles McMahonsion which was just two short weeks away from being snatched up by creditors due to a major mortgage default.

As the story goes, Mister Trump agreed to buy the McMahon mansion located in the guard gated Summit community for an undisclosed sum of money–which Your Mama hears through the gossip grapevine was $4,600,000–and lease the six bedroom and 5 bathroom house back to old Ed and his much younger wifey Pamela.

But children, Your Mama is hearing something a little different. A source we'll call Vociferous Veronica whispered in our big ear that it looks like publicity hungry Mister Trump and Mister McMahon's money hungry creditors will not come to terms. This is all very bee-zarre given that this whole deal would have been done like a Thanksgiving turkey had Mister Trump just kindly coughed up the $4,600,000 asking price like he so publicly said he was going to do.

If true, this means, of course, that Mister McMahon will need another millionaire knight in shining armor to come riding down Mulholland Drive and save his impoverished and debilitated boo-tay.

Just a little real estate rumor and gossip children, rumor and gossip.

Neither Donald the vulgarian nor Ed the fragilarian is talented, attractive or even interesting and yet everyone, even our Mama, is flogging this act of love and generosity to preserve the relationship of Ed to an uninteresting garage with a house on it. Please, let's hear more about the house of someone we can all feel good about............Marge Schott. Did it sell? For how much? Mumsie, we know you can ferret out the info.

stpauls said it best, Ed is not talented. He has rode the waves of other's to make his money. I personally don't care for the guy, I hope he drops dead for scamming so many with that stupid sweepstakes crap. I'm still waiting on my money!

brutal blogging...
Guy is 85 and realtor (Davis) is trying to everything he can. I heard he loses all personal belongings if the house doesn't sell so whether it's trump or someone else they should be lucky to short sell the house so he has his bed for whatever new rental...

that would be a bit of a pr dee-zaster for mr. trump. You can't go out and say you are gonna save a guy and then come back and say of well we couldnt get the deal done because of a few thousand dollars

Wherever Mama alights will have class & style; as long as we have a seat at the children's table, we need not know the address, oxymoronic as that sounds.

Being good little chillruns, but chillruns nonetheless, we can't be trusted to not park our sticky, unwashed faces in Mama's driveway, no matter what we promise…

I say Mama should just slap up a picture of San Simeon and tell Average Joe her mortgage is $299K.

Who would want to buy Ed's house anyway?

Imagine sitting on the loo knowing that old greedy fart was sitting there pushing out poos full of caviar?!?

That man is a digrace to the American dream.

Strange: The Donald could buy the place out of the petty cash account. Of course there are still ongoing maintenance and taxes, but...

Josh Flagg charges dropped, TMZ

so I wonder if he is going to sue TMZ for this big headache TMZ has caused him with irresponsible reporting ?

I feel sorry that the McMahons are having some hard times, but my sympathy is a little limited. It wouldn't kill them to have to live within their means like the rest of us have to.
Anything with that consummate attention 'ho Trump involved isn't worthy of much more than an eye roll.

Move out and live like the rest of us, Ed!

Maybe one of Johnny Carson's ridiculously wealthy ex-wives or widow could help old Ed out, LOL

Am I the only one who feels badly that McMahon & Co could be forced to move out of their home? The Don-Old should be ashamed of making a spectacle out of his so-called assistance to those in need. Although, I'm pretty sure there are more needy people around town than the McMahon's! As for the house in The Summit, I think it has some potential - despite the placement of the 3-car garage. And just think of all the fun you could have watching the Spears brigade having a Gin-u-wine Ho-down on the front lawn, stacks of beer cans sitting on top of the Mercedes, whining children with bubblegum cigars dangling from their Kool-Aid stained mouths, running about in nothing but saggy Pampers. Ahhh, the good life. Now that's the teaser they should use for the New 90210!

I pass the house all the time. I think $4.0 would be a good price, for this market. Want to pay more....be my guest.

I think the house is cursed not to sell because of the well publicized toxic mold problem it had several years back...even if it's been remediated, who wants to even consider a place if they've heard something like that? After all, Ed did make many public claims that it killed his dog for Christ's sake! The bank should just tear the place down and build a new house from scratch or just sell the lot for land value at this point...

Yeah........treat it like the Sharon Tate murder house.

One commentator made the charge, doubtless with some exaggeration, that Ed tends to sue anybody who gets near him. Maybe the Donald heard that and decided to back off. ???

I feel bad that Ed felt compelled to marry a spendthrift and make more babies so late in life. The man would've had enough money had he kept the first or second wife, moved to a nice place in Rancho Mirage.
