YOUR MAMAS NOTES: Now that the Wall Street Journal has confirmed the deafening rumors that have been swirling about Paris "Pokey" Hilton putting her Hollywood Hills house on the market, a listing has finally been popped up onto the world wide web, and Your Mama has a few snaps for you here.

Although she may not be responsible for the paps collecting outside her home on a daily basis, we're quite certain Pokey's West Hollywood neighbors are popping open bottles of bubbly all up and down N. Kings Road now that she's put her party pad on the market for a hefty asking price of $4,250,000.

Remarkably, Your Mama has never been invited to one of the many parties at Pokey's house, so we can not verify whether the garage has indeed been turned into a large dressing closet or if there's really a stripper pole in the lounge, as we've been told by more than one of our readers.

Given that Aaron Kamin's house directly across the street is on the market for $2,099,000, the asking prices of Pokey's place might just be a wee bit optimistic. However, if anyone has a chance at selling their house for more than it's worth, it would be Pokey, the gurl with the Midas touch.

No, it's her uncle.

Paris.......do yourself a favor and move to a Gated Community. A gated neighborhood is private property. The crazy fans and photographers can't park outside your house or at the bottom of the driveway. They will have to park outside of the gates of the entire community. If they sneak in, they are trespassing and face arrest. In a non-gated neighborhood, they can park in front of your house, or stand on the sidewalk etc. It's a nightmare for your neighbors. You can also save money on security, as you won't need somebody standing outside your door 24/7 in a gated/guarded neighborhood.

I never cared much for this house, and that's a real mystery to me because normally I fall into a swoon over authentic Spanish architectural homes, especially older ones. Maybe it's the French Regency interior. Can't wait to see what she buys next.

she should move to nyc, back to the waldorf.

would love to see how she gets treated there. such a different celebrity culture (and since celebrities by and large live in L.A., celebrity culture is believed to be a product of L.A.)

:)

Perhaps you don't know L.A but there are few decent gated communities in west L.A - usually the architecture in them sucks, generally persian palaces with no architectural merit, most are off mulholland therefore not exactly the perfect location & lastly, the paparazzi will just camp at the gates to the community or go up in a helicopter so it makes no real difference ... personally, the only decent gated communities on the westside are Beverly Park & probably Malibu Colony & I'm guessing both will be out her price range ... the majority of celebs don't live in gated communities & they get on just fine - why should she be any different? she should just move into a house that can't be viewed from the street - problem solved! As for security in gated communities - wasn't there a burglary in Beverly Park not that long ago? - it's probably the wealthiest gated community in the country & it's still not 100% safe so to think gated communities are impermeable is ridiculous.

Excellent point Anon @ 4:34 PM, and very good advice too. Don't rely on anyone other than yourself for your security, and consider any community provided benefits as so much gravy.

I think one of the better gated communities is Fremont Place. Never mind that it backs up to Crenshaw Blvd. They have real, real gates as well as armed guards at the gates. Plenty 'o celebrities live and have lived in there, as well as more private big buck business people.

Beverly Park had a robbery? That is hard to fathom. The place seems like Fort Knox.

Check out this article in the L.A. Times:

Burglars hit the rich and famous

A skilled team has made off with more $7 million in valuables over the last year from homes in Bel-Air, Beverly Hills and other wealthy enclaves.

Full article Here.

Anon 4:34 here ...

4.53 - Fremont Pl is nice but I don't really consider it the westside & I doubt it would be in Paris Hiltons preferred location ... I also like Laughlin Park in Los Feliz but it's to far east for me ...

Cassie - Yeah, I was surprised too - I can't remember the article but think it was one of the properties at the Northern end at Mulholland side - the residents were astonished apparently.

It's actually getting quite frightening living in west L.A - with the 'Bel Air burglar' who works alone & breaks in while the residents are eating dinner! & the teams that are targeting the Hollywood hills etc.. Beverly Hills proper is slightly safer b/c it's served by B.H.P.D who have quick response times compared to LAPD who serve the other communities ... It's amazing the amount of private guards guarding property at night - u drive through beverly hills & bel air & most of the more substantial homes have guards ... It just makes me wonder what Bel Air patrol & the other response teams are doing & really, how effective is having an armed response team in stopping home invasions?

Also, the most important factor is watching who is coming in & out of your property ... cleaners, deliveries, pool man, trainer, landscapers, gardeners, cable guy, phone guy, carpenters etc... some of these large estates have so many ppl coming & going & these 'workers' can survey the families schedules & find out who's around when etc... & pass the information onto burglars for a price ... it's quite scary when u think about it.

Beverly Park was burglarized earlier this year. It was actually Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's house in there.

faith and tim live in south beverly park, which is much easier to get into from the fire entrance at the top of summitridge (i have family who used to live right at the fire entrance). also, there is a gated street called la collina in west hollywood that has maybe 10-15 houses on it. the house they use to film entourage is on that street, as well as other older spanish styled homes.

knowing her though she'll go for something more public than she has now, or a community like the summit or mulholland estates.

If I were to buy one of the Heir Ass's properties, I'd get it fumigated.

I guess there's no chance she'd move far, far away. Pull a Michael Jackson.

So it was the southside of Beverly Park? The articel I read said it was the northern end ... irrespective of what end - it still is pretty scary ...

Anon 12:56

La Collina is a great street and the entourage house is sick!

Anonymous said...

btw...it's beverly hills technically. though right on the line.

Anonymous said...

wasn't the entourage house at the top of camino palmero?

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

i was in my house when i heard the news and i almost freaked out. I live in the smack center of beverly park and im usually lazy about the alarm, i just leave thinking who would dare first of all to make it past the gated security and past my home gate. After that i've been very careful.

where is the entourage house from season 4?(ep. 9)
