Watch Out New York City...

...Because Paul McCartney's bitter and newly rich ex-wifey Heather Mills has been sniffing around for new digs in Noo York City. According to the The Daily Mail, the $50,000,000 woman was spotted house hunting at the sales office for the yet to be built One Jackson Square, a curvy, swervy and thoroughly modern building that will tower over the corner of Greenwich Avenue and 8th Avenue in lower Manhattan.

No word on what size unit Missy Mills might be interested, but apartments in the undulating and all-glass apartment block carry prices of (approximately) $850,000 for a studio apartment all the way to $12,000,000 for the 3 bedroom penthouse that occupies the entire 11th floor and has 360 degree views over the rooftops of Greenwich Village.

If Miss Rich Dee-vorcée were to consult Your Mama, and we're quite certain she won't since we haven't said the nicest things about her embarrassing grab at her ex-huzband's prodigious Poundage, we think the single mommy should go for one of the 2 bedroom and 3 bathroom duplex units. That way she'd have room for young daughter Beatrice and a lovely terrace from which to shout and scream about how she was wronged, maligned and misunderstood. Your Mama would feel sorry for her because the litigious ladee has really not had an easy go of it in the press and gossip glossies. But unfortunately, it's a wee bit difficult for us to go there because Your Mama would be more than happy to be wronged, maligned and misunderstood by the general public if we had fifty million clams of someone else's money flipping the big bird at the Fourth Estate and the chattering masses.

Why is she moving to the USA? Does she think we like her here just because of her stint on DWTS?

The conditions of her divorce require her to stay in the UK so don't expect to be seeing her all that much in NY.

First off Heather has 25MM, I believe, England tax bracket is 50% and I do not think you have as many writeoffs if any out there as you can have here.

btw

I have a question, let us say that 30 MM white collar americans are working and paying their taxes

the average tax bill is 30k a year from all taxes, property tax included.

I get a $900000000000

now is that 9 trillion or 90 trillion dollars in yearly taxes paid to the govt.

If that is the case, why are we in trouble ?

Huh?
Anyway I walk past this site everyday,it's just a hole in the ground right now it will not be up for maybe 18 months so I doubt that if she wants to move right away she'll buy here.

One of my fav. locations. Right down the street from a wonderful French Bakery and close to the subway...not the HM is going to ride the subway...

Isn't 12 mil for a 3 bedroom on the corner of 14th street just a little too much?I mean it's 14th street people!

A] she got £16M + property + alimony
B] it's the U.K tax bracket, not "England"
C] it's 40%
D] lump sum settlements aren't usually taxable
E] just like lotto winnings aren't taxable in the UK, unlike the US.

If she's bringing the kid, then she'll be bringing the nanny. In which case, she needs a 3 bedroom.

alimony is like buying hay for a dead horse.

Ewww, this building is actually built DIRECTLY over the NYC subway, and the park is one of the best known crack houses in the entire city. Why would she want to buy there? Then again, I guess it's fitting...

Also, I really, really love that Mama can mix and match slang like "fifty million clams" with highbrow phrases like "the Fourth Estate."

I saw her on the Upper West Side about a week ago. I was quite surprised. She was dressed very casually, no make up (she's not very pretty, I have to say) and no one but me seemed to realize she was on Broadway and 95th, walking uptown.

25 million Pounds UK = 50 million Dollars U.S.

Manhattan is all about micro districts you can not just say that all of Greenwich Village is prime,it's not, expensive yes. This is the WRONG corner folks trust me.Yes the subway is directly underneath this future building and it will shake every 3 minutes.
