UPDATE: Michael Jackson

Did the Michael Jackson finally sell Neverland Ranch?

Well children, according to gossip gangsta Perez Hilton, he did.

Santa Barbara County Assessor records do indeed show that on the 10th of November Mister Jackston's 2,700 acre ranch on Figueroa Mountain Road in Los Olivos, CA transferred from The Gloved One to a Delaware based entity named the Sycamore Valley Ranch LLC. However, at this point it's unclear to Your Mama if this transfer represents an actual sale or if it indicates Mister Jackson has moved ownership over to a company controlled by his own people in an effort to limit his personal liability for the $20,000,000+ mortgage he's carrying on the property.

However, while the Sycamore Valley Ranch LLC was set up back in Delaware, records show an address in Los Angeles that happens to be identical to that of the offices of Colony Capital, the company who is reported to be holding the gigantic mortgage on Neverland Ranch. Now isn't that interesting?

Nothing would surprise Your Mama when it comes to Michael Jackson, but we do sincerely hope Mister Jackson has finally unloaded this financial white elephant and emotional albatross from around his skinny little neck.

As far as we know and according to gossip Roger Friedman at Fox 411, Mister Jackson is still living in Las Vegas with those three children of his.

Gossip juggernaut TMZ is now reporting that the entity that now holds title to Neverland Ranch is a joint venture between Michael Jackson and Colony Capital, the Los Angeles based company who holds the mammoth mortgage on Mister Jackson's 2,700 acre scene of the alleged crimes.

According to TMZ, the ranch will be renamed Sycamore Valley Ranch in order to free it of some of that nasty child molestation stigma that hovers of the property even though Mister Jackson was acquitted of any untoward behavior.

TMZ also speculates that because Colony Capital owns the Las Vegas Hilton and several other properties that there may be some sort of performance gig in the works. Sorry children, but Your Mama has a difficult time believing that Mister Jackson can moon walk anymore.

Gross, he needs to get over wanting to molest children and unload the place if he hasn't already.

I'm sure Average Joe and half of you will claim the ranch is worth $1mm, if that bc of this market, so loooks like he's out some $19mm on that mortgage.

OMG! Zillow says its worth thirteen cents! Must be correct.

TMZ is also talking about this.

How utterly devastating it must be to have all the money, fame and glory the world has to offer.... spending sprees, lavish parties, ultra expensive gifts, luxurious vacations around the world, essentially living the "E-Ticket" life (sorry Disney)...

And NOW living in a "borrowed home" in Las Vegas because real home is in Neverland, no shopping because no one will give you credit where credit is due, and essentially blacklisting you despite being 'white as snow' innocent.

I guess this financial devastation for Michael may be too much to take which explains why sometimes he appears "medicated". Michael learned so many financial bad habits with no one to tell him "No" out of fear of losing a job or that his outrageous spending was surpassing his income. Kind of like the good ol' USA right now, huh?

Michael, get your sh*t together and go back to performing music and dance. It's your calling. You won't be happy until you feel love and happiness which is on state.... fans screaming.... music blasting! :)

re: a possible Las Vegas gig, would he willingly suffer the indignation of knowing his appeal is mainly that of a freak show at this point? Most of his hysterical young female fan base has got to be grown with children of their own by now.

lmao @ "Mister Jackson's 2,700 acre scene of the alleged crimes". Oh Mama, you kill me :p~

hugs, phx

"no shopping because no one will give you credit where credit is due"

A business granting credit is going to be linked directly to payment history and ability to pay, neither of which MJ appears to have at this point. He has notoriously not paid his bills, and his income from his past musical success is reportedly being eaten up by servicing all the credit he has already been extended. Creditors are practically lined up around the block trying to get paid.

If you were a business owner, would you extend credit to someone who has no visible means of paying the bill when it comes due? Would you risk the success of your own business on a celebrity who has gone from being famous for his music to being infamous for his behavior?

"Most of his hysterical young female fan base has got to be grown with children of their own by now."

I would agree with you but I just saw where Rick Springfield (memba' him?) is getting ready to play the new Nokia in LA. Those grown women will be there in droves throwing there sizes-larger-than-in-the-80s panties at him. So yes, MJ could....but the bigger question is CAN he? Last time I saw him attempt a performance it was like watching one of the impersonators from in front of the Chinese Theater.

12:49, good point. I can easily imagine Rick still packing them in as intertwined as he must be in many now faded raging hormonal memories. Michael perhaps, but for very different reasons. phx

Michael has done himself in by his naughty behavior. If it was any random fool walking down the street who has done the same things no one would feel a bit sorry for him or care, why do we feel sorry for him just because he was / is famous?

Looks like we've got a real live Michael Jackson fanatic here.

I have to agree with the fanatic on one point, Jackson did some amazing things musically and pop culturally back in the 1980s and early 1990s, but that was 15 long years ago. he's just a troubled, washed up ol' white lady now.

It's sad, but it's true. It's sort of amazing his "fans" don't see his current behavior as odd, because it is no matter how you slice it.

the land is worth a lot of money... especially to the farmers out in Santa Ynez. I know Michael has leased some of the land to cow farmers out there. I'm sure just for the land itself he could make a pretty penny off of it. probably close to 20 mil. The property on the land is just a bonus. it doesn't take up much acreage.

Cow farmers in the Santa Ynez Valley? Wineries, horses, and tourism, check. Dairy or beef, not so much.

If in the past 15 or so years Michael Jackson has faded into the White Lady, how long can total invisibility be behind?

ASSOCIATED PRESS (LAS VEGAS November 14, 2008)

Michael Jackson, former lead singer of the Jackson 5 and self proclaimed "King Of Pop" has been hospitalized for minor injuries following a traffic accident. He was struck earlier this week by a white minivan driven by Mormon tourists on a side street just off the world famous Las Vegas Strip. Authorities did not realize the victim was Mr. Jackson until they returned to the scene of the accident to retrieve a shopping cart which Jackson was pushing just prior to the accident. Witnesses said they were approached by Jackson earlier but did not recognize him either. They thought he was a homeless elderly white woman. Positive identification was established when authorities opened the trash bags in the shopping cart and found three were hiding Jackson's children while a fouth contained skin and body parts, assumed to be left over from Jacksons many surgeries. On Jackson's request, police attempted to contact Jackson family spokesperson Raymone Bain but her phone number was disconnected. TMZ has located Bain's new residence - a public restroom on Santa Monica beach. She may be preparing an exclusive press conference for TMZ's television show but the negotiations are stalled on discussions of whether TMZ will pay for a motel room and a new weave before she can appear on camera.

I love Michael Jackson. No debt will ever take that from him. Get a life and get a grip on reality. You don't know him. You don't know what is really going on. You poke fun and run your mouths, but you are lower than your own perceptions of Michael. Crack your jokes while his life falls apart. Enjoy his pain and heartache. Who are you? What have you done to change the world? When you die how will you be remembered? If someone accused you of a crime so terrible, who would stand beside you? Who would stand in front of you when the mud slinging on some random blog made you cry?
You are no one. You are no one. You are no one.
I stand up in front of him. LEAVE HIM ALONE! Find a new hobby!!!!

And there we have the word from his last remaining fan.

While I'm sure that boy's parents enjoyed the 20m settlement from MJ, their son's life is still messed up from the "accusations" as you call them.

Try googling Jordan Chandler. No need for a crystal ball...although you must be wishing into one if you think Jackson still has a career.

Anonymous said...

lol! You don't wish into a crystal ball. This is not about Jordan...and apparently never was. Money. How much money is innocence worth? No need to Google him. Let that dead horse be. If you want to believe that crap then why would do that to the "innocent"? Gonna send the blood suckers after Gavin too? Why not? You have no soul. I did not say Mike had a career left to go back to. He does not. I agree with you there. I may try tossing a coin into a wishing well or blowing out my birthday candles in one gust but I don't believe in that either.
I believe in Michael Jackson. I firmly and strongly do. Mistakes or not, money or not, career or not. I am not asking you or anyone else to join me. I am just asking you to consider your source. Consider the flip side of the coin. Consider the feelings of another and others. I know you won't but I watch the barbs flying and the only one defending MJ sounds like a blind, deaf, crazy person. If you don't hear me; fine. I don't need your approval and neither does MJ.

LONDON (AP) — The son of an Arab monarch took the King of Pop to court Monday, charging that Michael Jackson took $7 million as an advance on an album and an autobiography that he never produced.

Lawyers for Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa of Bahrain say the money was given to Jackson as an advance on the book and joint recording project with the sheikh, who is an amateur songwriter. Jackson claims the money was a gift.

Jackson and Al Khalifa were not at London's Royal Courts of Justice as the trial opened. Jackson's lawyers said he would seek permission to testify by video link from the United States.

Bankim Thanki, a lawyer for Al Khalifa, said the royal first spoke to Jackson by telephone while the singer was on trial in California on charges of child molestation.

Al Khalifa wanted to work with Jackson on rebuilding his career, Thanki said. To that end, the sheikh spent millions paying Jackson's legal fees, moving him to Bahrain and supporting Jackson, his family and entourage.

The expenses included $350,000 for a European vacation for Jackson and his associates, Thanki said.

"The cost even included the expenses of bringing out Mr. Jackson's hairdresser," Thanki said. "It's not a conventional commercial dispute."

The lawyer said Jackson and the sheikh became close and at one time both were living in a palace in Abu Dhabi owned by Al Khalifa's father, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the oil-rich country. The singer stayed nearly a full year in Bahrain as a guest of the son, who serves as the governor of the country's Southern Province.

Thanki acknowledged that Al Khalifa gave some gifts to Jackson but said that most of what Jackson received was part of a business deal.

The gifts, he said, "were essentially personal effects — watches, jewelry."

Jackson's finances fell apart after he was arrested in 2003 over allegations he molested a 13-year-old boy at his ranch. A jury cleared him of all the charges.

Last week he was forced to give up the deed on Neverland, a 2,500-acre (1,000 hectare) miniature amusement park in California named for the mythical land of Peter Pan.

"I believe in Michael Jackson. I firmly and strongly do. Mistakes or not, money or not, career or not. I am not asking you or anyone else to join me."

And earlier you posted that you "love" him. Sounds like a deranged fan to me.

"I am just asking you to consider your source."

Which source? Mama's story about the ranch? Find a single source that says it isn't true. It is true. He has transferred ownership. You mean the story about Jordan Chandler? The settlement happened. True. No wiggle room there. Did Jackson molest him? Neither one of us know that for CERTAIN but SOMETHING happened that was worth 20 million dollars to settle.

Anonymous said...

Michael Jackson? Is he still alive? I thought he died?

Anonymous said...

Ever notice that when you don't have an argument you just make one up? This is the second time you have acted as though I have said things that I have not. I never said MJ had a career to come back to and I never said who I was. Fan or not. He has transferred ownership of Neverland. He did pay a settlement over allegations by Jordan Chandler. I never denied those things. He has never been convicted of any wrong doing in that matter and yet is always treated as if he is guilty. That is partially his own fault for all those years of acting like a circus freak and putting on the "razzle dazzle".
It is WAY too late for him to turn it around. He always knew how to play the game. He could turn negative publicity into gold. It got away from him. I think it got away before he even realized that it did. Maybe he still doesn't know. Those boys were the nail in the coffin.
I will leave you to your MJ bashing. Somewhere it spurs someone to buy a CD or generates some talk that may lead to publicity that could actually do him good.
Carry on.....
MJ....later alligator ;)
