YOUR MAMAS NOTES: What do Steven Soderbergh, Courtney Love, and Terrance Howard have in common? According to a very well placed source whom we'll call Cowboy Pete, they have all leased this disturbingly flesh colored house on Amesbury Road in Los Feliz at one time or another. Most recently it was the Academy Award nominated Mister Howard who lived here. Cowboy Pete tells Your Mama the actor paid $12,5000 per month to live up in this house for the first 6 months of 2007 while he was in Los Angeles filming some movie. Or more likely, the production company footed the bill.

Because Your Mama sometimes likes a little sordid in our story, we are pleased to report that Cowboy Pete delightedly told us that the house was trashed when the Pennsylvania-based Mister Howard moved out just a few days ago. Something about a dining room table being ruined, a broken juicer, and a jacuzzi pump all needing to be replaced. Even the wonderfully crazy and newly scary skinny Courtney Love, who we know deep in our cold and dark heart leaves her dirty panties and old food strewn about her house, did not do as much damage as Mister Howard and his retinue of people and children.

Our Fairy Godmother in Los Feliz was able to dig up a listing for the house which shows that the leasing agent is none other than strapping ex-actor turned real estate agent Curt Truman, who modestly bills himself as the "Agent To The Stars." But since Your Mama is no star, Mister Truman, who apparently lives next door to Hollywood scion Mariska Hargitay and has appeared on numerous daytime soap stories, did not return our calls for comment.

The property falls down a steep slope to the back giving the terraces at the back of the house long and gorgeous views, at least when the smog is at a minimum.

Since we have only been able to locate photos of the living room, we will have to limit our commentary on the decor to that room only which looks like unusual hybrid between boho chic and suburban Ohio. Have y'all ever heard the rule that once a lady gets dressed she should remove one item. Well, we'd like to have had that rule applied to this room. We think many, many items should be removed including just about everything on the coffee table (and replaced with gorgeous picture books on art), the orange and blue glass pieces on the mantel have to go, the flowers on the hearth are just ridiculous, the large mirror we would like to see replaced with either something very smooth and contemporary or over the top ornate with silver leafing.

Your Mama would replace the painting over the fireplace with something bluish, although we do like the abstract nature of the painting that's currently there. And the walls, which appear to be a pale lemon chiffon color could be replaced with a nice white or perhaps a soft taupe color.

Out with the tapestry...oh Jeezis Mary and Joseph, who are we kidding. Everything in this room needs to be taken out with yesterday's trash EXCEPT, the nice graphic print rugs, the fireplace grate, and maybe, just maybe the coffee table.

Now that Mister Howard has moved out, Your Mama wonders what celebrity will be moving into this house next.

That living room/sitting room, whatever, is overstuffed. The massive couches have got to go. But, at least, this balcony view is marvelous. Inside the house you are spared the horribly painted exterior. THo should have had the studio expense a housecleaner.

It is no wonder Terrence broke a few items. This house is so full of useless items. I would feel like intruding if I were to stay here. Did you the pix of the kitchen? Feel too homey for me.

I completely missed this post yesterday. I must be slipping, lol. The house is cute, or could be. I don't get the flesh color paint choice either. It doesen't look like there's a pool or room for one though, and I'm just not appreciating the apparent L.A./Malibu semi-trend of houses built so close to the street they're almost sitting in them.

The place is seriously overdone and I think the owners were going for a terra-cotta exterior and missed the boat. IF I lived in CA or maybe Arizona or Mexico, I would love this house once it was painted and gutted of all the useless crap. I don't care for the kitchen in any way but the rest of the house is cool.

You have a point nancy. There's an Italianate style house built next to ours painted a nice sand color with similiar corner capstones painted white and it looks great. Terra cotta color is better suited to the Spanish style in my opinion.

Mama...I know something about this house and the 'situation' with said Curt Truman. Soderbergh and wife, Jules Asner leased the house twice...the first time, 3 years ago when Soderbergh was here shooting a movie (they live primarily in a 4,000 sq foot Chelsea loft)...the liked the place so much they rented again a year later...only after Courtney Love had lived there..they arrived to find urine specimins in the fridge and dried vomit on the tv...Mr. Truman never cleaned the place up for them, and the owner's (who live in South America) had no idea...Steven and Jules ended up leaving the lease early in to buy the 2.5 million dollar home of now famous 'flipping out' house flipper Jeff Lewis on the western edge of Los Feliz. (also...one of the reasons they rented in the first place is that Sodgerbergh's are BF with another hollywood couple, model Catherine McCord and former pres of Universal John Gordon who live a few houses away...(they just sold on Amesbury and bought 6 mill...house on Inverness down the street)

Wow...can we get the samples and sell them on ebay? I'm sure the house was fine...my friend worked on that lame talk show with JA and said she was not a nice person....ewwwww........ I"ll take Courtney Love anyday.

ok, no trash about mr. truman, he is the hardest working agent of the bunch, its unusual, but yes he treats the real estate stuff like a business, unlike the housewifes and ex sales girls in the biz.he has leased many of my homes.. very much about follow through, if there was a problem here it was not because of him , come on, most "celebs" are pigs, i won't rent to them..don't blame the agent here, he did his job and always has...........

No, Curt Truman is a joke...and so much for professional indiscretion if you're reading here about the condition Mr. Howard left the rental. Truman leaves 8 x 10 headshots and his soap-actor resume on the kitchen counters of houses he's selling still trying to hustle acting work on the boob tube.
t-a-c-k-y.

Who cares, why shoot the messenger , did you see his head shot. That's Curt Truman. Hello Gorgeous! Stars trash houses all the time and how about hotel rooms.? Guess that's the price you pay when you lease to celebrities.

That house is AMAZING and I will tell you first hand that I was in that house the 3 days after Courtney Love left and the only thing that was wrong w/it was the railing to upstairs was broken and she had left some "personal" belongings on the counters NOT in the fridge. WHY would she leave urine in the fridge?? Meanwhile Mr. Truman is the hardest working, most ethical real estate agent in the business and has a track record to prove it. I will definitely hire him again!

Curt Truman always has good listings. He does look like a movie star. I heard he was one of Herb Ritts favorites.
