Tuesday Tidbit: David Hasselhoff

The (David) Hasselhoff homestead in Encino, CA was recently re-listed with a $3,795,000 price tag. This is not the first time at the rodeo for hairy-chested Mister Hasselhoff and his second ex-wife Pamela who acquired the 8,947 square foot Colonial mansion in 1996 for $1,980,000 from actor John Goodman.

The erstwhile couple parted ways years ago and first quietly shopped and then officially listed the 5 bedroom and 5.5 bathroom residence—and it's two detached guest houses, swimming pool complex and tennis court—in late summer 2008 with a fat asking price of $5,950,000. By August 2009 the price had plummeted to a still optimistic $4,195,000.

As noted by the kids at Curbed ex-Missus Hasselhoff downsized to a 3,400 square foot hillside contemporary in the Hollywood Manor neighborhood that she bought in early 2009 for $1.3 million unsuccessfully attempted to unload in late 2010 with an asking price of $1,499,000.

At first I really thought Hasselhoff parked his pickup in the trophy bar room.

If at first you don't succeed; try, try again!

At any price, it still looks like a branch of Long Island Savings Bank...

I wonder which room he eats cheese burgers off the floor in this pile?

Dear Little Gay Boy,

Your last post suggested you went through a very difficult ordeal with Sandy. I hope your home is now warm and bright!

Update on more fabulous lairs... I was at Fleur de Lys last night at the Range Rover First Look Parrtayy and Ms. Saperstein was playing hostesss looking fiece as ever and slimmer then ever! She has never looked better! Fierce in skin tight dress and knee high boots and of course diamonds for miles... or acres in her case. Apparently she leases out the house multiple evenings a week and attends those parties which more than likely pays her rumored $450K monthly expenses on the estate. Having been to various parties at the home over the past 5 years... I am happy to report things have changed... gone are the gold large tables and curtains in the entry foyee... clean lines are now the forefront... Gone are the Harps, Pianos from the Music room and replaced by a la four seasons tufted furniture delights and chaises... lovely simply lovely.. the musuem is now slightly more homey and still magnificant! Viva Ms. Suzanne and her lovely lair!

Thanks for the kind thoughts; I referred to Sandy obliquely (hurricane, earthquake, firestorm, blizzard, etc.)...

Sandy took out not only a lot of trees (could not get out of the neighborhood for two days), but the power as well (8 days). Luckily, ours was one of the only homes not damaged. But it did wash away our newest family addition, (Petey the Wonder Jack Russell mix)'s favorite dog park on Lido Beach (next to Long Beach).

The next day was a tiny earthquake near to hubby's house, while further south over 100 homes went up in smoke in a friends neighborhood in Breezy Point.

Then the nor'easter; cable & power out again (briefly)& more trees down -- lots of trains damaged or destroyed in Long Beach yard, so commute to Manhattan is extra exciting . . . ;-)

But hey -- we're New Yorkers; we deal.

7:39 did you have to pay to get in? Or was kissing Saperstein's boots more than enough to get you admitted?

Lol @ the random Saperstein fan! LOVE it!

I enjoyed reading the Saperstein post and LGB's post way more than I did looking at this horrid house.
