Help for Haiti

Despite our sometimes mean and snarky ways, Your Mama does have a heart and today it's aching for the people in Haiti. A list of organizations you can donate to can be found here.

You can also text "Haiti" to 90999 for an immediate $10 donation to the Red Cross that will be added to your mobile phone bill.

Thanks for that, Mama.

Coming to this site and drooling/fantasizing about the often gorgeous, sometimes bizarre homes you write about is fun. But seeing the devastation and incalculable loss of life and property in Haiti sure puts things in perspective.

I texted last night and made sure all my friends & young'uns did too. Wouldn't it be great if some of these real estate high flyers donated money not only to the relief efforts, but helped build solid, stable and safe housing for Haitians? I'm looking at you, Ron Tutor.

Oh Mama we all know you got a heart the size of Texas!
It's certainly sobering (and I hate that phrase...) when you stop and realize that one of these celebrity mansions on your blog has more poopers than they have in all of Port Au Prince. How about a little gratitude check, my fellow Americans?

Thank you Mama for posting this and acknowledging this tragedy.
I am actually looking at going down there.
I am tired of just writing a check.
Sometimes in life you actually need to do something.

What a great post to make Mama. The Salvation Army has missionaries in Haiti all of the time, and does wonderful work there. My donation went to them last night.
The pictures coming from Haiti are heart wrenching.

Bless you Mama.

idiots

your donations go to the corrupt rulers of haiti as well as drug lords, gun runners and land barrons

it is already in the news, tens of millions in donations never made it to the victims of haiti,

what a shame,

So sad. Those people had nothing to begin with, and now they have lost all that they had. If we sacrifice a lunch, we can give them a days wage.
