Your Mama Hears...

...That not only did big mouth billionaire Donald Trump not step up to the real estate plate and purchase financially beleaguered Ed McMahon's Beverly Hills house, neither did the back up buyer we heard about through the gossip grapevine.

Uh oh.

Does this mean that unless some pecuniarily endowed knight in shining armor comes trotting down Mulholland Drive with a bag of money that Mister and Missus McMahon will soon be out on their keisters?

Now listen children, Your Mama does not ever like to see anyone tossed out of their home. However, we confess that it's a tad bit tough to muster much in the way of sympathy for a man who made many tens of millions of dollars during his long career on the boob-toob and pushing that Publisher's Clearing House crap. How is it possible that Mister Ed does not have ten million smackers socked away in some Swiss bank account? Really, how?

Whatever the reasons for his very public financial free fall and possible foreclosure, Mister McMahon's Crest Court McMansion remains on the market with an asking price of $4,600,000.

I don't know what turns my belly more - loosing a fortune or a old man kicked to the curb. He MUST have something stashed away in Costa Rica - say it ain't so Ed.....

Don-Old seems to like teasing people with the promise of buying property, then pulling out at the last minute - usually for personal reasons rather than business! As for Eddie's savings account, it do make one wonder what the hell happened to all the endorsement money from Publisher's Clearing House - to say nothing of what happened to his millions upon millions from The Tonight Show glory days. Given that his house in The Summit was built so long ago, and re-built with his settlement money (the mold issue), its hard to imagine there is a mortgage at all. I know he is said to have had enormous medical bills but didn't he have insurance? Or perhaps they refused to pay for his private room at Century City and all of the related costs? Who knows. According to a couple of new friends in the RE business, there's apparently so much gossip about what's really going on up there its hard to sort out what could be true and what is definitely not true. As for the house itself, I thought it was a great place myself. No, its no architectural wonder but its better than my current digs(!) and the pool area and vast rear garden/lawn area are gorgeous. Of course, the whole place could be spectacular with the right architect & gay decorator at the helm.

Never turn down the Donald

Ed out of all people should have known better

yes, it's a shame to see, but i find it hard to feel too badly for someone who has made tens of millions of dollars not be able to pay their bills. people have placed the blame on him not being able to work since he broke his neck, but come on - the guy is well into his eighties! how many people do you know that are still working at that age? my grandfather is 92, delived mail for a living and retired at 50, with two homes and no mortgage. Clearly Ed simply lived beyond his means and didn't save properly for retirement. you shouldn't have to rely on scum like trump to bail you out. off my soapbox now.

Why doesn't Rosie buy it for Ed just to show up the Donald?

I hear the house was fully repaired and then some after the mold case settlement. Maybe there is a Stigma problem with the house and that's why it won't sell. You would think they could get somebody to pay $4 million for the home.

I too am surprised Ed didn't sock away a heap of cash in Switzerland or the Bahamas...he really missed the boat on that one.

The house, aside from the hideous interior decor, is actually pretty nice.

I think the house is having problems selling because people think it has bad ju-ju or something. Even though the mold has been removed, there is probably some stigma among the prospective buyers.

Also, "The Summit" is a very nice guard-gated community, but it is where Britney lives....and other Beverly Hills gated communities (Mulholland Estates, Beverly Park, Beverly Ridge Estates) are as prestigious (if not more) than The Summit.

Still, if they drop the price of this house into the $3 millions, I am sure such a drastic price cut will offset the stigma with the house.

Well where did his money go? There's one answer to that the guy has a big gambling problem. His money is in Vegas children.

There's another answer to that. Trophy wife loves, loves, loves spending money. He's senile and has no control of the money.

I thought when the Donald came along it was because none of the people who knew Ed wanted to help him. Then the D. evidently decided not to and the "friends" have already passed. The one reason I can think that he won't lower the price is that the house is loaned up to the hilt and any lower price wouldn't pay off the debts. Bust, and no friends, not good.

Frankly, from an objective standpoint, bad "juju", stigma, or lingering mold may not be the problem. Although Hippie pointed out ……"the whole place could be spectacular with the right architect & gay decorator……", one look at that backyard overlooking what appears to be a busy street is enough to nix the deal for me.

As for Ed and his finances? Well, Nana did used to say, "a fool and his money are soon parted."

But hey, she was old.

Mulholland isnt very busy in that area.

Taking another day off Mama? How typical...

trudy, joe has issues. there are three rumors as to why:

1- mama was experimenting with recreational drugs during that pregnancy.

2- mama's trusted gurl svetlana was babysitting and dropped him head first into a toilet bowl....more than once.

3- he aint mama's at all. he got left on the doorstep and the long bodied bitches Beverly & Linda dragged him in thinking he was a chew toy.

I like my girls svetlana, olga, katya allowing me to have access to their anus and tight twats while I laugh my head off that I'm not Ed McMahon.

Trump's a chump. Id bet that if there wasn't money to be made from the deal then he wouldn't go through with it.

I doubt that man has a altruistic bone in his body.

This house is just gross. While it is "recently reno'd" after the mold issue, they did a terrible job and everything they put into the home is horribly dated.

Once again, the house needs to be gutted and reno'd. Until they price the house accordingly it will not sell. I think it would be better played off more contemporary than trying to force Mediterranean on a flat roofed monstrosity.

Jeff Lewis could make this one great... but... it's too rich for his blood.
