Monday Mish Mash

Listen kittens, we found ourselves burdened with some entirely unexpected and unavoidable issues that we have to grapple with so we have only a few minutes to provide the children with some links to a few recent celebrity real estate stories we didn't get to earlier...

::::::::

Celebrity gossip juggernaut TMZ reported early last week that sit-com star John Krasinski and his movie star wife Emily Blunt recently splashed out $2,150,000 on a new, eco-friendly country spread in Ojai, CA. Although it's closer as the crow flies, the 5.17-acre property is just over 1.5 miles by car from the ranchette Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth heaved on the market a few weeks ago to much media hoo-ha and hullabaloo with a $10,000,000 price tag.

::::::::

TMZ also reported last week that recently widowed Taylor Armstrong from The Real Housewife of Beverly Hills—she's the one with the really big lips—will soon have to vacate her rented 4,814 square foot faux-Spanish casa that her landlord listed last week for $3,695,000.

::::::::

The long-legged gal at Trulia Luxe Living revealed late last week that genuinely talented Oscar-nominated actor Albert Brooks (Drive, Broadcast News, Defending Your Life, Taxi Driver) listed his long-time residence in upper Bel Air for $6,995,000

::::::::

Actors Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart recently filed suit against Smashing Pumpkins front man Billy Corgan after a huge eucalyptus tree on Corgan's property, directly across the street, was felled by high winds and, according to the peeps at E!, "landed on the Danes' house, breaking power lines and a sprinkler system."

::::::::

The 6,000-ish square foot London duplex penthouse of Grammy-winning pop singer Duffy, estimated to be worth around £12,000,000, was destroyed in a fire last week. The singer, who was reportedly preparing to move out, managed to escape the conflagration with her housekeeper, two cats and dog.

::::::::

Does outspoken comedienne/chat show host Rosie O'Donnell really want to buy a new house for Honey Boo Boo?

::::::::

Not that it matters mean much, but did y'all know that presidential hopeful Mitt Romney personal property portfolio contains five homes with a total of 25 poopers while current president Barak Obama owns just one home with five?

OMG! As they say on PerezHilton, "FIRST!"

The link to Albert Brooks takes one to, ah, Albert Brooks. I was expecting to see the story of his house on Trulia. Having never been to the Trulia blog, I had to Google. The addy is http://luxe.truliablog.com/ should anyone be interested. I saw that Albert's house has a link to Merv Griffen so if Carla Ridge can push her butt away from the brunch table for awhile, perhaps the 411 on the could be forthcoming.

Mama,

You have had more issues lately than People Magazine! Comit to the blog or at the very least turn the work over to an assistant!

Hey mama, thanks for the updates. And FYI, read somewhere that the fab Ms. Fonda is moving into new digs now that her man-mate has sold his place above Doheny. Would love some scoop on La Fonda's new home. All best!

Regarding the comparison between Romney and Obama's homes, keep in mind that when Obama leaves the WH, he will make a killing on the speaking tour, similar to what Clinton has done. Obama will at least catch up some on the number of "poopers."

It's already in the works that Obama will live in a 8figure house in Hawaii! Don't cry for dear leader!

Sorry, Romney didnt get his properties in a sweetheart deal either. And when O leaves the WH I will be very surprised if he ever returns to that Chicago house.

Darling Mama you have been missed! Kisses to you!

Lordy me such the drama week...

First the Ojai property is distressing, beautiful from the front.. tragic mess inside! Calling BRAVO Martin Designer Pronto! HELP!

While on Bravo must comment on Ms. Taylor's Crib in the Bel Air Hood. This is an example of Faux Spanish done up in glamour that works for that style, love the family room and sliding doors wishing the Housewive love and happiness in her new home.

Oh Romney oh Romney, lets get a lookie at Ann's closet full of Oscar and Dior!

Moma I came accross a grandiose opportunity to combine 3 listings at 88 Central Park West. If combined one would wind up with a gargantuan pied a terre that spands almost two entire floors of the Beaux Arts gem. At listing price it would cost $45 mill for the four units with a modest $23k montly maintenance. You think I should do it?

If you want the blog to read like a damn weekly magazine, then pony up and buy a damn subscription to one.

Mama's blog isn't some hack deadline waste of trees, and you aren't paying for the enjoyment of reading it whenever/however it appears.

Sheesh! get off your damn high horse and appreciate the effort instead of whining.
