UPDATE: Lisa Vanderpump

BUYERS: Kenneth Todd and Lisa Vanderpump
LOCATION: Beverly Hills, CA
PRICE: $10,200,000
SIZE: 8,801 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms

YOUR MAMAS NOTES: Last week it was revealed that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' resident queen of pink Lisa Vanderpump and her restaurateur man-mate Kenneth Todd sold their opulent mansion in the guard-gated Beverly Park community for $19,000,000.

With their adult children living elsewhere–as they should–the Vanderpump-Todds wanted to downsize out of their 17,000 square foot high-maintenance mansion in Beverly Park and had already moved forward on the purchase of a smaller–but still huge–home.

They settled, according to gossip juggernaut TMZ, on a "Bitchin'" contemporary outside the gates of Beverly Park but still less than a mile away. The Giggy-loving couple paid $10,200,000 for a very contemporary Abramson Teiger Architects-designed mansion that listing information shows includes 5 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms in 8,801 square feet of interior space.

The gated, privately situated, and quite modern mansion offers generous formal living and dining rooms plus a high-impact two-story library paneled in high-gloss Ebony wood, lined with built-in bookshelves, and ringed by a second floor gallery. Towering steel-framed windows and dramatically tall glass doors in the library harness and frame an unobstructed view over the rugged, mansion-sprinkled canyons and glittery Tinseltown cityscape.

Cozier quarters include a family room with fireplace and steel-framed French doors that open to the back patio and a crisp, clean-lined kitchen with snack bar and dining area so sleek and minimal Your Mama thinks it would make Giorgio Armani might pee his khakis with architectural glee.

The second floor master suite encompasses a large bedroom with sitting area, fireplace and panoramic view, a bathroom for him, a bathroom for her and at least one gourmet kitchen-sized dressing room lined with mirrored wardrobes and equipped with make-up vanity and built-in dresser-cabinet in the center of the room.

Finish materials, according to listing information, are of the frightfully expensive variety and include reverse painted glass, walnut floors, hand-troweled plaster inside and imported Yorkstone on the exterior. The property also includes, as per listing information, a detached two car garage with guest/staff quarters, serious security system with closed circuit cameras.

Covered porches at the back of the house connect the luxe interiors to the landscaped grounds and grass staircase that leads down to a bullet-tip shaped swimming pool set into a green lawn surrounded by mature oak trees.

The Vanderpump-Todd's big Beverly Park pile was listed for $29,000,000 by Housewives' cast mate Kyle Richards' real estate dynamo husband Mauricio Umansky. At this time Your Mama has no idea who purchased the palatial property but perhaps someone in the know will surreptitiously ring our bedazzled princess phone and let us know. The Vanderpump-Todds did not make use of the real estate services of Mister Umansky in the purchase of their new home but rather those of Martin Genis, a real estate agent and pal who reportedly once sold a house to Brad Pitt and who they set up on a blind date with Kim Richards on the first season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

This needs work per Lisa's comments? I love Lisa, and I understand that we all want to put our signature on our homes...that said DONT TOUCH!!

I told you all she moved closer to home than you may think. This home is barely a hop skip and a jump from the previous house. Beautiful house.... not quite what I expeced for her as its way more modern.

When i saw this close i instantly thought of her... the sq.ft. was off a bit from the report but i totally knew it

Another beautiful home, they have great taste.

It's amazing.

But then, of course it is. Lisa Vanderpump picked it. And Lisa Vanderpump has flawless personal style.

So she pockets $9 million, downsizes into a stunning house and is leasing a place in Montecito to see if she likes living there for the long term.

Brilliant.

Viva La Vanderpump!

I found over 50 mostly daylight photos of this home, with a sprinkling of rendered drawings thrown in. Click on the 'All' button at the bottom right of the face picture to launch a larger viewing window, then scroll down along the right edge to see them all. Enjoy!

This place has been on the market for years, since '08 I believe. The original asking price was $15 million-ish.
Seems like Vanderpump got it for a "deal."

This house on Oak Pass was bought from Andrew Goldsmith and his wife. He is the son of the writer Barbara Goldsmith who is well known for books such as 'Little Gloria -- Happy at Last" and 'Johnson vs. Johnson' about the battle over money within the family of J. Seward Johnson. Barbara Goldsmith is the daughter of the former chairman of Pepsi-Cola, in addition to a lot of money from her mother's family.
Apparently Andrew is a "private investor."

I know that taste is subjective, but I think the beautiful Lisa V was given a generous pass regarding the pink, white, and silver-leafed foo-foo day-core of the vacated house. This new estate looks elegant and more sophisticated in my meaningless opinion. I totally dig it.

Wow, love this house...like it much more than her previous house, this is definitely a case where downsizing was also a trade up! She is by far the classiest woman on any of the "Real Housewives" shows...(Also, gotta say, I love Giggy, he's so damn cute!!!)

From Miss Vanderfancy's comment regarding all the work that needs to be done here, are we left to entertain the frightening thought that she's planning to f**k this house up by turning it into a smaller version of the Beverly Park house????
I think that might be the case. Might be underestimating her and the hubby, but I don't get that there's a modern sensibility lurking anywhere within those two.

Well I have to say that I prefer Lisa's Beverly Park home. This one is too modern, looks awkward in the front, and is on a sloped lot. Her current yard looks like HEAVEN and its right across the street from Adrienne!

With the economy right now descending into another recession, likely deep, I get a bit nauseous reading about these people of not much account but far too much money and their luxury house flipping. Going back to the Clinton tax rates and then raising those progressively for incomes over a million up to 70% on more than ten million seems to me to be a fine way to help reduce the deficit. And I'd add a "luxury house tax" of the sort being considered in the UK in addition. Warren Buffett seems to find a house he purchased years ago for less than $40,000 quite sufficient for his needs. He should be imitated and soaking up some of this excess wealth for the public good seems a no-brainer to me.

I really hope the bitch doesn't F' this up. I doubt her "needs work" type comments are in regards to many renovations. She's just gonna paint and pink up the place decorating wise.

Love this house! This is so current yet timeless. I am sure Lisa and Crew will turn it into a dream like her restaurants in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood

Viva La Pump! Gorgeous house, magical setting needs better landscaping and some warmth added to the gorgeous but steril interior. Go Lisa!

Like the house, but LOVE that secluded pool w/jacuzzi in the private backyard with a spectacular view! Lisa Vanderpump does have style and taste, but also brains. She sells that behemoth in Beverly Park and buys another beautiful home all the while pocketing $9 million. Beauty and brains... can't beat that.;)

This is pretty spectacular. I think those Landry-designed homes are tacky as is the interior design taste of Ms. V. Who I like.

The 'twilight' listing photos make it look like the target buyer is a nouveau-riche vampire arriviste, LOL

worst ... photos ... ever. The agent should be ashamed to allow these to be seen.

The photographer that took these pictures should be band for life from ever touching a camera again.

For all the know it alls complaining about the photos and the photographer, this person and their photos got a $10 million house sold. What have you done?

It looks like a cardboard box on the outside.

"For all the know it alls complaining about the photos and the photographer, this person and their photos got a $10 million house sold."

Well, you certainly put me in my place. I take it back ... the photos are lovely. They really show the home in its best light.

And, as for selling a $10M home ... the couple that bought it are "stars" on Real Wives of Beverly Hills. That should tell you something ... LOL!

These photos must be the absolutely worst example of HDR photography I have ever seen. Seriously, I could do way better photos with my iPhone...

She will miss the Security of Beverly Park.

I don't get the photo's.

It' not only this house... I've seen several that do this twlight picture thing but its like there is a bizarre lens used when they do it that discolors things. I've seen the original photos from before this listing with the previous agent... night and day.... Night and Day.

7:14, you keep making snarky comments, and the fact is they are on TV, they are rich, they are successful, they lived in a gorgeous $30 million home and they were able to sell that and still live in a gorgeous $10 million home in Beverly Hills.

Unless you are on TV, have a nicer more expensive home and cars and a higher net worth, I am not sure what the hell you are feeling so superior about?

I have a large home and you can always tell the jealous losers when they come through, because the first thing they say is "I would never want something this big, I would hate having to clean it". I always answer there are people that do that you know.

The normal people that are secure with themselves just say "You have a nice home" or something to that effect.

Anonymous said...

wow 4:52

someone is a jealous loser simply because they would not want a huge house? that's just utterly preposterous. your statement says a lot of ugly things about you. so does the fact that you needed to come on to a silly blog and make of point that of saying that you have a big house.

Anonymous said...

@4:52

Good for you ...

It seems to me you need a large home to house your extraordinarily large ego. I'm just sayin' ...

By the way, "You have a nice home" :-)

452 "Unless you are on TV, have a nicer more expensive home and cars and a higher net worth, I am not sure what the hell you are feeling so superior about?"

oh poor you 452...trapped in the stupid notion that the more expensive something is, the more famous you are, the happier you must be.

you just carry on luv, aspiring to have more, jealous of those of us very content to let morons like you scratch, claw and prostrate yourself for more, while we can ignore you to enjoy so much more that life has to offer

Anonymous said...

Ok, i know this blog and comments are old, but...Lol, thank you people for leaving such hilarious comments, it sure gave me a nice laugh. 4:52 sounds like she should use some of her disposable income to find a therapist who likes a challenge. I get what she means about they way certain people may act when they're jealous sometimes, but there are nicer ways to put it.
