A Pair of Afternoon Delights Number One

Okay, well, we're not sure how delightful these afternoon tidbits are perhaps they'll keep your real estate appetites whetted for a while longer.

The fine folks at Trulia Luxe Living recently reported that actor/sci-fi writer Bruce Boxleitner (Tron, Scarecrow and Mrs. King) and actress/former SAG president Melissa Gilbert (Little House on the Prairie) have their very-ordinary and quite-modest-by-celebrity-standards house in high-suburban Tarzana, CA on the market with a reduced asking price of $1,195,000. The couple recently announced they will be divorced. Wouldn't it be strange, children, to feel compelled to put out a press release every time you married, dated or divorced? Such are, perhaps, the sometimes high and frustrating costs of celebrity. Anyhoo...

You know you're nobody in The Industry when you've got no concerns whatsoever about privacy (let alone style) and place a "patio set" on your front lawn! Maybe Ms.Gilbert wanted a place to reflect on her glory days on LH.

Navigating the pool area after a few gin & tonics could be hazardous. I would have gone with a smaller swimming hole and more room around it to walk.

Wow. I can't believe this house is still on the market! Must have been an extremely slow celebrity news day when you decide to rehash a story from March! http://www.realtor.com/blogs/2011/03/23/bruce-boxleitner-melissa-gilbert-house/

If she had married Rob Lowe she could be living in a big ole house in Montecito.. Wish her and her (half pint) house good luck though.

This little piece of crap is $1.2 million?
For real?

In my neck of the woods this garbage would not sell for a penny over $89,000.

I am so disappointed that this is where half pint and scarecrow live/lived. Really, really sad.

In keeping with the theme of "LITTLE House"...

This "little house" is still six or so times the average home price in the US.

There are probably watering restrictions in Tarzana, as there are in much of the West. In other words, in order to have a tasteful yard that neighbors and blog readers won't mock, the owners should have gone with a drought tolerant space.
