UPDATE: Paris Hilton Makes Another Million Bucks

Well kids, we've been hearing rumors for a couple of days, and today every Tom, Dick, Harry, and Sally has emailed Your Mama screaming that Paris Hilton has done sold her damn house in the hills of West Hollywood.

All reports say that the house sold for $4,250,000 after just 10 days on the market. I guess that answers a certain question about whether a celebrity owner can affect the value of a house.

As everyone who every turned on a television or opened a tabloid the last couple months knows, Paris is shacked up in a 2 bedroom ocean front house in Malee-boo and is on the hunt for a new house to call home that will provide the publicity hungry Hollywood hunny more privacy than her last house.

Miz Hilton paid $2,900,000 for the N. Kings Road house, and with the reported sale price of $4,250,000 she'll make over a million bucks on the sale of the house. Say what you will about the ex-con, but she knows how to make money. Now that's hot.

What we really want to know now is WHO bought the place? Could it be some crazed fan from Japan? Or maybe a budding starlet hoping to capitalize of the residue of Paris' fame? Or maybe Perez Hilton is taking some of his massive ad revenue and bought the house of his namesake? Hmm. Anyone knows, give Your Mama a holler.

(Your Mama would like to thank all the children who sent us links, tips and information.)

  1. Hmm - I'm surprised it sold so quickly ... I would be put off due to all the attention the property has received & how often it's been featured on t.v shows etc.. She was looking at properties last week so I wonder where she'll end up?

  2. Honestly Mama, it had to be the celeb DNA factor at work here. Anyone (although appparently not everyone!) with a brain should have been able to see that a very similar house around the corner (1427 Queens Rd) is on the market for just under $2M. Other than a rather nice pool area and a small gated area in which you or your guests can crash, er.. uh.. park, what would possibly make Paris' home worth that much more than a similar house? At best, I expected it to seel for $3.3. By the way, are your sources sure about the price Paris paid for it when she purchased it? I heard it was $1.9. As for the new buyer, my guess is thatit was purchased by some trust fund queen (lower case Q, honey) from the midwest!

  3. I hope a crazed fan from Japan bought it. The visual of one with a toothy ear to ear satisfied cheshire cat grin tickles my funny bone.

She renovated the entire property / pool / parking etc... she spent a lot on the place after purchasing it - it was carried out by faye resnick who also happens to be her godmother ...

  9. Paris should join Gwen Stefani and Brittany Spears...and move into The Summit. Their guards do a good job of keeping the stalkers/paparazzi etc. outside of the gated community. If she moves into a non-gated neighborhood....the neighbors on her block are in for a nightmare that never ends.........

  10. faye resnick is not married to stephen. her daughter jennifer is a beautiful girl, but anyhow, this sale is great. The neighbors are happy she is gone, and my listing across the street now has a 4.2 comp across the street. I also heard the hose sold for 4 million even...

  11. Anon @ 1:56 PM, if your listing across the street is the one I think it is, I LOVE that place.. the cute corner Spanish bungalow with a kitchen in need of some updating. More & more I'm leaning toward the idea of downsizing when the time is right, and when I do, I hope I can find a place I like as much as that one.

  12. I know who bought Paris' house and:

    a) He did pay 4.25 mil for it. WHY? Because he's filthy friggin rich and he liked it. (Consequently he DID NOT like the house around the corner that's why he didn't buy it! Besides he rarely even asks how much things cost before he buys them...just FYI.)

    b) He doesn't give a flying crap about who owned it before...he can afford not to. We'll leave that envious BS to you ladies and gentleman.

Keep wallowing in envy losers! We're parting in West Hollywood!
