Hodge Podge Thursday: Those Crazy Grammers

Five time Emmy winning sitcom star Kelsey Grammer may be married to and making babies with his fourth wife, Kayte, but he's still deep in real estate doo-doo with his third ex-wife, Camille Grammer.

Those of the children who keep up to date on such things already know that third ex-Missus Grammer was, once upon a time, an MTV dancer and, along with Adrienne Maloof, was reportedly just relieved of her part-time gig on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Anyhoo, back when they were married Mister and third ex-Missus Grammer lived large, hunties. Their property portfolio swelled with luxury properties that they often bought and sold at a rapid fire rate. They owned several mansions in the pricier zip codes of Los Angeles including a gigantic 17,800 square foot pile with a dozen poopers in Beverly Park, an elegant Bel Air mini-mansion they sold in 2007 to Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault for $13.5 million and a sprawling equestrian-equipped compound in Malibu's serene and star studded Serra Retreat. Third ex-Missus Grammer, who still occupies (and owns) the Malibu compound, briefly put it on the open market last year for almost $18 million.

The lavish living couple owned at least one house in Hawaii (ownership status unknown), maintained an almost 200-acre country compound in Upstate New York (still owned by Mister Grammer as far as we know) and a house in the Hamptons (sold in May 2011 for $9,995,000).

Mister and third ex-Missus Grammer also and still co-own a spacious ski chalet near Vail in Avon, CO—listed since at least March 2011 and currently priced at $6,995,000—as well as a nearly 11,000 square foot faux-Tudor sprawler in the north of Sunset section of L.A.'s hoity-toity Holmby Hills 'hood that they've been trying to sell since almost the day they bought it in June 2007 for $13,700,000. They first had it on the open market in July 2008 with an $19.9 million price tag but since then it has been de- and re-listed more times at various than Your Mama can be bothered to count. Earlier this week the price was slashed by a million bucks to $14,995,000.

It was recently revealed in the tabloid papers and celebrity gossip blogs that Mister Grammer hoped to move his new family into the Holmby Hills house in order to save some money but, as any sane person would imagine, third ex-Missus Grammer balked at the idea.

Mister Grammer, bless his real estate heart, dished out $6.5 million in April 2012 for an especially charming Spanish Colonial style casa in the flats of Beverly Hills, CA. His most recent sitcom endeavor, Boss, was axed in the fall of 2012 after its sophomore season and soon after that Mister and fourth Missus Grammer put their newly acquired house up for least at $30,000 per month. Shortly after than, just after 2012 became 2013, Mister and fourth Missus Grammer heaved the house back on the market with a notably higher $7,250,000 price tag.

I wonder how heavily these houses are mortgaged

Their most beautiful property is that Holmby Hills house.

Does anyone have the password for the estate website: http://www.261barodadrive.com/?

I don't get it why the lock these things up...

The pictures are already on a thousand other websites.

If the pictures are on a thousand other websites, why do you need one more?
I doubt it'll be anything cool. Maybe a video tour, but there are never floorplans :(
I tried to get the password for the Carolwood website through The Agency, no luck.

I knew that someone would ask. Because they would probably be of slightly better quality.

Lisa Hochstein can demo her Star Island house. Got approved Tuesday. I really don't get why people cared. It was a gross house and even though they got it for a steal, it's got no privacy and there are tons of vacat lots on the better sides of Star Island.

Aaah 3:05. Wasn't trying to be nasty, wondered the same thing about a couple listings, usually the pictures are bigger but I've only seen that on the company websites like in the sold gallery or whatever.

Don't worry, I wasn't annoyed by the question.

But, Your Mama! You didn't tell us who bought the nearby 250 Delfern Drive house?!? Does anybody know?

3:00 PM, perhaps those floor plans of the Carolwood house can be found in one of the Hablinski and Manion books.

Tried and tried. They've got a bunch of floorplans, no Carolwood though.

When do you plan on coughing up the now high-seven figure settlement for Fredrick's back child support and the Boston co-op? Court is AGAIN approaching and my tennis partner...err...the judge, are impatient. This time I'm bringing my not so amicable rabbi for emotional support. We're in community theatre together. I'm working on tears this week.

Kelsey Grammer is a pedo that is off the rails nuts. He is going to be broke at the end of the day. He is just lucky that his royalties are so high it is damn near impossible to.

The last photos I viewed on the Holmby Hills property were just terrible. The house looked picked apart and the rest just left there. Their agent did them NO favor by not getting the staging lady in, on a house like that. Even the master bed was just sitting there with no mattress or bedding. Will be interesting to see if the term "short sale" ever comes up with regard to their properties. Residuals are great but when you hemorage money, inflow is paramount.

7:28 AM, if anyone ever buys this house, it will probably be because of its location.

I cannot wait to see the dish on that nerby Bud Yorkin and Cynthia Sikes property.

well they do have taste for houses :)
tough yeah its kind of strange. i thought Kelsey is supper rich like 100m+ networth, so i would not see a problem. well unless they suffered a madoff ...

anyway I did not know hot to react when missus grammer cried on first season of TRHOBH, that he left her for a younger one, specially since she was the younger one 20 years ago when he left his wife

I loves me my snark, too, but let's be fair. Grammer's most recent series, "Boss," was anything but a 'sitcom endeavor.' It was quite an excellent drama, for which he won a 2012 Golden Globe.

Too right. That was an amazing show, and it gave work to a lot of fine Chicago actors). I was very sad that it was cancelled.

Fact is the third mrs grammar is farrr better off without him..when they met he was bankrupt and a recovering addict..she took control of his life..looked after the finances and turned what was a bank account balance of zero into many many tens of millions..revenge is sweet when in several years from now the new mrs grammar is crying the blues because hes left her for a younger one

I'm pretty sad Boss got canned. It was one of the few shows that actually filmed in Chicago, unlike The Good Wife which is clearly filmed on the streets of NYC. He had a pretty nice rental in The Elysian (former Elysian hotel and residences, now The Waldorf Asoria and unnamed residences) it's like a precast stone, tall, skinny bastard child of 15CPW. Ms Camille Grammer would have had no complaints about the cramped quarters of that half floor 4 bedroom.
I think he owed her about $50mil, which was half of his net worth, mostly in real estate holdings. Well, asking prices aren't appraised values so that $50 mil could turn into $15 mil pretty quick.
