Listen children, Your Mama has a houseful of family—we got Mama and Sister Cooter, Your Mama's Momma, Sister Woman and her brood, Auntie and Cuzzin Will and more—so we're beyond swamped not to mentioned exhausted and sotted with gin.

The folks at Forbes put together a rather exhaustive reports and slide show of The Biggest Billionaire Home Sales of 2012. Compelling and shocking all at the same time
New York City-based restarauteur Jerry Della Femina sold his ocean front house in East Hampton, NY and hissed and pissed to the peeps at the New York Post it's Obama's socialist tax policies that are the reason he took $25 million for the house instead of holding out for the $40 million he originally wanted. The new owner is said to be Discovery Networks CEO David Zaslav.

What happened to Femina is a marvelous endorsement of Obama's policies. Of course the money won't go "to Obama" as he ridiculously says, but if the one tenth of one percent have to unload their 3rd or 4th mansion due to fear of taxes, the nation is on the road to recovery. Now if only hundreds of others could be scared into unloading (preferably at a loss) how much better for all the rest of us. Is he going to move abroad too? That would be icing on the cake.

ReplyDeleteI really hope all these people who whine endlessly about the indignity of paying taxes don't plan on calling the police if their house gets broken into or the fire department if it catches on fire. We hope they never complain about the condition of roads or the quality of public schools or the number of homeless and mentally ill people who set up shanty towns in their communities. We also hope they never need public transport and we really hope they plan to opt out of Medicare when they get old because it is a socialized medicine plan after all. And they better never try to collect unemployment benefits if they happen to lose their jobs. We also hope they always have jobs that subsidize their healthcare bennies because if they don't they'll have a rude awakening when they realize that a decent HMO plan will set them back 5-700 a month for one person and upwards of 1500 to cover a small family. All these people also better not allow their children to apply for Pell grants to help pay for a college education or apply for an FHA loan to buy a house because those are horrible horrible horrible government programs paid for by taxes.
