Update: Tori Spelling

Is Tori Spelling on the move again? Well children, according to Celebrity real estate gossip Ann Brenoff at Los Angeles Times, she is. Or soon will be. Apparently Miss Spelling and her ack-tor huzband Dean McDermott have listed the Westwood crib they purchased just eight months ago. A quick peruse through the MLS didn't turn up a listing for the property, so for now we'll just have to take Miz Brenoff's word for it.

According to prop records, in February of 2008 the couple closed on a modest house on well manicured Thayer Avenue where they proceeded to film their utterly banal reality program Home Sweet Hollywood. Don't get Your Mama wrong puppies, we love us some Tori Spelling almost as much as we love an Abazaba before bed. We were mad for her as the virginal dyslexic Donna Martin on the original Beverly Hills 90210 and we swooned with dee-light over her savagely high-larious 10 episode tour-de-force So NoTORIous. But these reality programs she does now? Uhm, not so much.

Anyhoo, records show the couple paid $2,275,000 for the 5 bedroom and 3.5 bathroom house with a sweet solar heated saltwater swimming pool in the backyard. Miz Brenoff is reporting that the house is listed at $2,395,000 and again, we'll just have to take their word for it.

Wherever the Mister and Missus Tori Spelling may be moving, we wish them all the best. Just please tell us they won't be filming another one of those reedonkulous reality programs.

  3. Well, if the commission is the "usual" 6% they stand to loose $136.5K.

  4. I agree that they probably can no longer afford it. Tori basically admitted on the show that house was way over their budget. She put an offer on that house without asking Dean first.

  7. Maybe Tori's mama is coughing up some dough for a swanky house behind gates. Or maybe not.

I think they just missed the trailer too much.

  8. I think Tori plays poor. I love her, but that's what I think, certainly she's more 'normal' than the rest of her family...but don't kid yourself, she's not broke. She's got the show and her jewelry on HSN. Plus, her book has been on the NY Times bestseller list for months.

My bet is the house wasn't private enough, perhaps Candy has become generous and is moving her into one of those condos she had on the block or a new gated house...wait and see.

  9. I agree with viva. It's out where the house is and I'm sure people go knock on her door...They need more privacy.

  12. Tori and her hubby have been looking at higher end property in Encino (think high $2mil to low $3). All are behind gates and big.

  14. no way they are broke - her residuals from 90210 have to be pretty big, especially with daddy being the decision maker on her contract way back when. i can't imagine him screwing her like her mom has.

  15. If they move anywhere, it will be something bigger and better. This is Hollywood.....even if they don't have the money, they will wind-up living in something behind gates. (just like Ed McMahon)

  21. wow. you would think they have a little bit of more sense than this

  22. I agree, they're far from poor and a home in the 2 to 3 million range is not a lot of money in my opinion. I live in an area that's surrounded by homes much more expensive and mine is only in the upper 6 figures.

I am also sure they didn't pay 6 percent realty fees. They're not stupid people and independent realtors are at 3 to 4% depending on who sells the home besides the listing, e.g. ReMax type of realtors.

They're taking a small hit, bought while the market wasn't bottomed out so the lost the monies invested and their realtor fees. They'll be fine. Books, reality shoes, Momma back in the picture thank goodness all helps.

Good luck Tori, Dean and kiddies!
