Are Brad and Angie on the Move...Again?

According to multiple reports from around the world, Hollywood's most peripatetic pair and their half dozen multi-culti kids (along with their large retinue of security guards, nannies, tutors and assistants) have recently decamped from the Chateau Miraval, their most recent rented home in the south of France, for a schloss outside of Berlin called the Palais Parkschloss.

Most reports say the Brangelina brood's new and temporary home sits on the shores of Wannsee lake on the outskirts of Berlin and includes a large house, a private helicopter landing pad perfect for getting Miz Jolie to the local 7-11 and back in relative safety, a private dock and a staff that reportedly includes 14 body guards, personal chefs and nannies. Nothing like the simple life.

If the Palais Parkschloss sounds familiar it might because it's the same high security compound that wacky Tom Cruise fellow was reported to have leased while in Germany filming whatever Mission Impossible movie was filmed in 2004. Your Mama will not waste money watching Tom Cruise movies so we don't have any idea if that was Mission Impossible 1, 2 or 3 and frankly we do not care. Apparently action film actor Steven Seagal also once rented (and caused damage to) the Palais Parkschloss. Steven Seagal? Whoop. De. Do.

Your Mama wonders if the paparazzi hounded family will ever return to the United States where they own a compound in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, an tennis court estate on the bluffs of Malee-boo, a big ol' house in New Orleans and a fa-boo ocean front compound near Santa Barbara, CA. They might have a few other places, but that's all our gin soaked mind can remember this early in the morning.

  1. What the hell is wrong with these people? They own perfectly nice homes but choose to camp out elsewhere, depriving their chirren of a stable base?

  2. brad is filming inglorious bastards with tarantino hence the temporary move (probably 90 days or so) to the new digs in germany.
this type of arrangement is not new. this is how they roll. they prefer to keep the family together and instead move to wherever they are filming. whatever works for them. it's not in my place to tell people how to live their lives or raise their children.
i've seen the pictures on the web of the house and the grounds and it looks absolutely beautiful.

  3. Is that really the title of Brad's new film? Germany will be freezingly chilly at this time of year.

  4. Agree with anon 11:18 that being with the parents (regardless of country) is a more "stable base" than being handed off to be raised by servants just so they always know where to find the nearest terlit.

  5. Guess they are now considered "Citizens of the World."

  6. these kids will be something to see in a few years.prepare to prepare a new blog, mamacita, on the gypsy children of the landed noo-vooh riche at around the age of 14. it will not be pretty.

  7. Kids don't need a stable base - They need stable, loving Parents who are constantly with them - I'd argue the kids are getting a much better education & understanding of the world traveling around rather than being cooped up in a school in Los Angeles

They're not any different to other showbiz families - Madonnas kids constantly go between London, NY & LA as does Gwyneths ...

  8. Brad's stubbly chin hairs which grow at an angle that even Trig-O-Nometry would be hard pressed to calculate the angles of will fit in well with those uber-hairy eastern european women.

  9. I don't care if they are ga zillionaires they should have a home base for children that are in school, or don't they go anymore??

  10. Palais Parkschloss is a bit much. The addition of the French to the front is redundant: Parkschloss translates as, "park castle" or "park palace." Maybe you get more rent if you add the French "Palais" but it sure is stupid. I would venture the place is NOT owned by a German national.

  11. They always roll with their whole family to film locations, same as many other celebs do, they keep the family together. Sure that the costs are being paid by the production company for their 90 days stay. Saw a video of them deplaning in Berlin and Brad was on Daddy duty with the 4 smallest ones and Angie looked pretty good.

  12. Only one kid is old enough for school and he is probably homeschooled like many celeb kids. That house is beautiful. Tom Cruise stayed there last year while filming Valkyrie.

  13. Emma, Angie herself may be hairy now for all we know. What with all those bowls of cereal to pour and poopy butts to change all the blessed day long she must barely have time to brush her teeth let alone shave her damn legs.

I think I agree with most of the people above who said that it doesn't matter that this multi-culti brood are forever moving on to a new mansion. It's not like they are ever going to have to hold down a 9-5 job or lead what most of us would consider "normal" lives, so what does it matter as long as they are home schooled?

  14. My parents moved all the time while I was growing up and look how good I turned out!

  15. So did Brad purchase another piece of land next to his home in the Hollywood Hills? There was a rumor that he has added a 4th home to his three home estate.

  16. my concern is that if they keep spending money like they do, they will go broke. they've now got 6 children to pay for.............

  17. Not sure if Maddox is home schooled - He went to school in Malibu at one point & also to the Lycee Francais in NYC ...

  18. They have probably moved their fortune out of this country, Smart Idea!

  19. Angie can't stay in the USA for 90 days without Brad? self esteem problem? Insecure? No trust?

  20. not to worry, celebrity kids usually turn out great.

  21. Now just where is that swamp property you are selling caveman?

  22. well I hope it's just a temporary move because no matter how nice the houses are, the children need a stable upbringing - and moving from country to country isn't very stable.

  23. i think the 14 security guards the house comes with is to protect the place from the six pack o'kids.

  24. One is there just to light Brad's cigarette and empty his ash trays.

  25. A Lake Wannsee resort villa was the location where the Nazis, may their names be blotted out, planned the "final solution" (their term) for the Jewish people.

    ReplyDelete
  26. "final solution"
What has that to do with Brad and Angie ???

    ReplyDelete
  27. I also recall reading that the Nazis planned the final solution, the death camps and extermination of the Jews, at a Wannsee Lake hotel. I can't imagine that the poster above connected this history to Brad Pitt and his family. On the other hand, I assume that the poster was illustrating the relationship of history and geography in this part of the world.

  30. The poor children don't have enough time in any location to establish any friends...

  31. Brad owns a big house in Berlin, on an island in the Spree, as well as an apartment in Mitte. Why rent the Palais? I wonder if this is a cover to keep the paps at bay - all scurrying around the chilly undergrowth of Wannsee while the family is really south of Treptow.

    Wannsee is spectacular though.

Seems like the Pitt-Jolies are burning through their fortunes. With all the charity and the real estate, they aren't going to be really rich for very long, no matter what their combined income.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh, and little tom didn't stay at the Palais if he rented it while he was in Berlin. He had a huge penthouse that overlooked Tiergarten - saw the pics on the real estate agents own camera.

Then again, the money Tom spent in Berlin was obscene (people still talk about it.) He shut down restaurants for 6 months, renting them to be on call so anyone from his crew who happened to need a meal could come in without disturbance.

  33. to plot:

Pitt does not own property in Germany.
Plus Pitt is probably getting between 10 to 15 million for acting in this movie. I think he can may for 3 months of rent.

  34. Brad owns no property outside the US. He does own 3 separate properties in CA, and the home in NOLA. Angelina sold her home in UK in 2006. They leased the home in France, and are renting in Berlin. They will not go broke anytime soon as Brad makes millions just with his overseas commercials. Studio most likely paying for his living costs and extra bodyguards.
