Your Mama Hears...

...The buyer for Courtney Cox and David Arquette's Malee-boo beach house is Frank and Jamie McCourt, who in case you did not know, bought the Los Angeles Dodgers in late 2003 for a whopping $430,000,000.

Recall that the Cox/Arquettes put their architecturally significant house on the market for $33,500,000 after they purchased another ocean front compound with more land and privacy. The McCourts paid, according to property records, $27,250,000.

Mister McCourt is from an old Boston family that has had a hand in just about every major real estate development around Boston, and the Missus is now the vice chairman and club president of the Dodgers.

The couple and their four children relocated from Boston shortly before buying the Dodgers and created a big hullabaloo among the real estate freaks of Los Angeles when they purchased two adjacent properties in the posh Holmby Hills for more than $27,000,000.

  2. Well, at least now I know what the raise in Dodger ticket prices (not to mention parking) is going for...

  3. Can you really see right into their house from the beach like that? Or is the beach in front of that house private? I don't know anything about beaches in the 'Boo. I just can't believe a celebrity couple like them would live in a house that's basically a fishbowl.

  4. You can't see into the houses from the beach ... they sit slightly higher than the beach ... & also, carbon is a private beach ... there are public easements but the general public don't rlly know what properties the easements relate to therefore most of the public stay below the mean high tide line which is always public ... & from the wet sand, you can't rlly see into these properties.

how tragic! I pity you ... u must be the wannabe / hanger on etc.. we discussed the other day!

"i can't wait until the beckham's are are MTV cribs.."

I doubt they would ever consider doing cribs. Not really there style ... She wouldn't even allow her kids to be filmed in the various 'moving to america' documentaries so she's not gonna show u her house!

  13. I'm a little confused. Courtney Cox was on Friends. Good gig, but she's not exactly an A-list movie actress. Her husband, he, uh...well, he was in Scream. An, um...the other Scream, too, I think. My point is, how do the Arquette's have a 35 million dollar home? Paul Allen buys a 35 million dollar house, not Courtney Cox and her husband. Can anyone help me out here?

    Newsflash:

Many TV actors make just as much as or more than film actors. Jerry Seinfeld lives on the water in The Hamptons and owns something ridiculous like 75 Porsches!

All of the Friends cast are livin' large. Jennifer Aniston leased a place for $30K a month and now has a Hal Levitt designed home in BH.

  15. I've been in this house, before they lived there. It is sick (in a really good way!)

It is probably my favorite house in the Bu, though I prefer a smaller, more understated beach shack and a big ole house in Bel Air. My $.02

  16. she was making 1 mil per episode last couple seasons. the residuals from syndication are keeping her in plenty of dough.

  17. Whoever took this photo did a clever job making it look like anything but what it is.. hemmed in on both sides by neighboring houses so close if you burped they'd hear you, and so close to heavy traffic, it's almost in the street. Not for me, thanks.

Are you for real? $1M an episode ... 24 episodes in a season ... not to mention film work, advertising. dvd's etc etc ... The cast of friends still make a reported $30M per year just off residuals alone ... Friends will run & run forever & they will continue making money from it - they are some of the richest celebs in hollywood - each having personal fortunes greater than $100M ...

Ever realtor has reported that it needs completely updated & returned to it's original splendour - the arquettes / cox's haven't touched it since moving in apparently.

you clearly don't get malibu - most people have homes in west l.a & use malibu home for a few weeks a year - traffic noise isn't a problem b.c the lots are far larger than they look ... these homes are massive, in picture form they look pretty ordinary but they're not ... though close to neighbors they're also pretty private ...

The home is not original. That's just a rumor. They've done some work. They even dropped the master suite ceiling by about 6 ft. The place looks very different than original.

If you read my post CORRECTLY I stated it "needs RETURNED to it's original splendour" ...

If you understand english that would indicate the property is NOT in it's original state ...
