YOUR MAMAS NOTES: Since the late 1990s Oscar-nominated celebrity couple Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives) and William H. Macy (Shameless) have shacked up in a big house on three contiguous hillside lots in the star-studded Outpost Estates section of Los Angeles.
According to our valiant informant Yolanda Yakketyak—and confirmed by Your Mama with property records—the couple recently dropped $3,800,000 to acquire the long, low and run-down residence next door that brings the size of their growing estate to almost 2.75 prime and private acres with sweeping views over Tinseltown. For 45 or so years, the property was owned by semi-shady music industry veteran Artie Ripp.
The grounds include a good-sized motor court, a semi-detached three car garage, broad flat lawns in both the front and back and a large swimming pool surrounded by a palm tree dotted terrace. ,
We really have no idea what sort of plans the Macy-Huffmans have for the house but listing photos show the interiors are dated, depressing and—let's get real—a goddamn hot mess of the highest magnitude long in need of a smart architect and nice-gay or lady decorator.
Mister Macy and Miz Huffman also maintain a small residence new The Grove shopping center in L.A. and a remote estate outside of Basalt, CO near the celebrity wintertime playground of Aspen.

My guess is that they turn it into a house for guests. Felicity comes from a big family who want to say live in Colorado. At least I assume that is where they all or most live since Bill said in Shameless interviews recently that is where Felicity is from and is where they always spend their Holidays.

ReplyDeletePerhaps they are planning on knocking both down and building their "we've arrived" monument?
ReplyDeleteSadly dated, but shows great potential for us MCM fans.
ReplyDeleteA complete 180 from their current digs; the two properties are at significantly different elevations so merging them should be interesting, to say the least.
yeah i dont get this there is a huge hill and this is underneath it so how will they merge them. i will admit that is a steal for a lot this size in the outposts.
ReplyDeleteGuest house, larger house or house for the kids I would imagine.
