UPDATE: Harrison Ford

As many of y'all may have already seen, listing photos for Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart's Los Angeles, CA mansion, listed today at $8,295,000, have popped up on the interweb listings.

Although some of the (nicer) pieces in photographs may actually belong to Mister Ford, a former cabinet maker who we have it on very good word has exquisite taste, all that innocuous white slip-covered and upholstered stuff place proves beyond a shadow of a doubt his Gerard Colcord-designed digs have been worked over (and but good) by Staging Lady in a Pink Toyota.

That said, beyond the banal temporary day-core is a very traditionally-minded mansion that retains it's original bones and quietly exudes elegance and stature...except for that master bathroom that looks to our tired and boozy eyeballs as a bit tired if meticulously maintained.

Definitely has great bones and is nicely proportioned. I agree with you, Mama - the Master Bath needs a redo. I see an explosion of Calcutta marble and inset cabinetry in its future.

With Six You Get Egg Roll and with Colcord you always got the "signature Colcord hearth", I didn't see that in the listing pics Mama provided. Did my tired eyes miss it? Also, Colcord was as "woody" as Robert Byrd and it seems much of that has been removed or painted over. Sometimes that bugs me as I am a "keep it original" freak. The "Byrd house" in Laurel Canyon is still one of my favortie strange lusts, but I think they may have subdivided and screwed up the site, anyone know. It once sit on about three acres with walking trails and neat hidden places. But, I digress...

Overall, I like this house, I sometimes wonder about my love for traditional AND MCM.

WASPy, predictable, yawn.

Reminds me of Buckhead, (ATL).

Definitely staged but I do believe he has amazing taste, his NYC loft was stunning. Did it sell or has it just been taken off the open market ... it was on at $17M or thereabouts - right?

LOVE LOVE LOVE this house--such a nice, warm and homey feeling about it as compared to so many of the ridiculously HUGE mega-mansions that seem to be big simply for the sake of being big. IF I had $9-million, I would be totally happy here. In fact, I think I like this house better than their new one.
