Madonna in Palm Beach?

WHO: Madonna Ciccone Penn Ritchie
LOCATION: Sheltingham Drive, Wellington, FL
PRICE: $50,000/month
SIZE: 9,500 square feet (approx.) 6 bedrooms, 7 full and 2 half bathrooms
DESCRIPTION: ...This immaculate custom home, selling not only fully furnished with interior design by noted N.Y. designer, also includes brand new tvs, electronic systems, new linens, etc. The main house house 5 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms with 3 master suites and a separate guest house. There is an indoor/outdoor living flow around the pool with a fabulous outdoor kitchen.

YOUR MAMAS NOTES: According to one of Your Mama's sources (and Palm Beach gossip Jose Lambiet), maneating Madonna Ciccone Penn Ritchie has forked over a hefty $50,000 to lease a mansion for one month behind the gates of the posh Palm Beach Polo and Country Club in Wellington, FL where she can spend some quality time with her new besties, professional polo stud Nacho Figueras and his wifey Delfina.

Her Madgesty has reportedly been spending an increasing amount of time in the Palm Beach area and according to Señor Lambiet, she's pecking around for a Palm Beach pad. Pleeze. Your Mama would love nothing more than to witness the glorious spectacle of the well preserved 50 year old superstar storming the staid shores of Palm Beach with her posse of pretty boys, security goons and sycophants, but somehow we sort of doubt the Kabbalah Kween is looking to put down real roots in Palm Beach. Maybe. Could be. She has owned a house in Florida before. However, real estate rumors constantly swirl around Madonna and should be seen, heard and read with a giant grain of salt and cynicism. Wasn't it just a couple of weeks ago that everyone thought she was dumping thity-eight million clams on a new townhouse in Manhattan, a purchase that has yet to materialize? With this bee-hawtcha, it's all real estate rumor and gossip until she actually scratches her name on the deed's dotted line.

Anyhoo, thanks to our pal the Palm Beach Bizzy Bee, we've uncovered a few facts and figures about the property where Madonna and clan are rumored to be bunking. Property records show the mansion once belonged to BET network co-founder Sheila Johnson and measures 6,277 square feet while listing information puts it at about 9,500 square feet, a number that includes the 650 square foot guest house where Madge can park her scantily clad men in waiting.

Listing information shows the property includes a total of 6 bedrooms , 7 full and 2 half bathrooms which means, of course, that Her Highness will likely need to bring her terlit gurl down from New York because somehow we don't imagine one of Lourdes' chores is to scrub down the terlits.

The interiors spaces of her rental residence were apparently did up by a big name N.Y. designer, and while it all looks like a thousand other Palm Beach mansions, it seems a bit grey haired for a middle aged gal desperate to retain her youth and beauty.

The back of the house faces the golf course and opens to a long and deep covered terraced with gauzy curtains, a swimming pool, spa, pool pavilion and outdoor kitchen where her current conquest, 22- year old male model Jesus Luz–who has reportedly moved in to her New York City spread–can cook up whatever sort of macrobiotic vittles won't slip through the grill on the barbecue pit.

Miz Madonna's Palm Beach proclivities are certainly interesting to Your Mama, but what we really want to know is now that she's a dee-vor-say, what's going to happen to her the double wide townhouse in London she shared with the ex-huzband and what's the fate of her big house in Beverly Hills that sits on a particularly swank section of Sunset Boulevard? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

It's Spring Break - maybe just a vacation spot close to Disneyworld for the kiddies??

Love the pool area. Old school glam. I like the kitchen a lot, but the rest of the interior spaces? Not so much.

Just as certain gossip sites were reporting that Jesus had moved in with Madonna (a subtle distinction, since he seems to have been staying in her apartment ever since arriving in the States many weeks ago), the Brazilian media was publishing pictures of him arriving back in Rio last week, and throwing a party Saturday night at his new pad in Ipanema. . . lol

Anonymous said...

This isn't true. I know the owner of the house, she didn't rent it. Your source failed you. Miserably. Still love you though, Mama!

Anonymous said...

For some reason this just does not look like Madonna material to me.

Anonymous said...

Right you are Mama - the decor does look a bit grey haired for Madonna, but it is just a vacation rental for a month. I imagine the living and dining room furniture must be family heirlooms. It reminds me so much of the furnishings in my grandparents' homes when I was growing up.

Same reaction on those frumpy rooms. Good grief.

No wonder the NY decorator didn't lend their name in the credits. Yikes.

Love the grounds.

This is Palm Beach Polo, well inland in Wellington, Florida, heart of the equestrian world in the winter, and a wee bit different from Palm Beach proper in terms of both people and attitude...Wellington might be more open to a Madge invasion than the island proper would be (there's a lot more nouveau non-blue-bloods in Wellington than on the island proper), but it is hard to imagine Madge wanting to be there, because I grew up wintering there, and though now there is a big, upscale mall which wasn't there when I was back in the 1980's, otherwise, unless you are into horses or the horsey-set's party circle, there is absolutely nothing to do within a 20-30 minute drive (which is how long it takes to get to either Boca Raton or Palm Beach proper on the island...)

I prefer Ocala, Fl. Equestrian world trives in Ocala.

Anonymous said...

Is "trive" a cross between trot and drive?

Madonna is a dirty, dirty girl who now has an oddly triangular, masklike face. The earth-roaming, the house-hunting, the pack of oddly-named and -dressed children, the lonely life of a 50-year-old in search of the perfect boy... all sounds too familiar.

Anonymous said...

The house DOES appear to be up for sale, but not for rent. It would seem that any smartypants real estate owner would benefit immensely from the exposure brought about by a celebrity rental rumor. If that weren't true, we wouldn't know about EVERY single celebrity rental that actually does happen in real life (almost always in homes that are ALSO for sale...). Kudos to the owners or to their agent (or to the staging lady in the pink toyota) for floating this one. And Mama, if you end up being right about this one, I'll never question you again.

Madonna's address on Sunset... is it perhaps 10086?

Anonymous said...

No. Madonna's Sunset Blvd. house is in Beverly Hills. It is a 9xxx address. Don't remember the exact number right now.

It is a flag lot with only a driveway exposure to Sunset Blvd. There are two houses side by side on flag lots, the one on the east is Madonna's, the one on the west is a Neutra.

Anonymous said...

I know real-estate brokers love to use the name, but why must Henry Flagler's dream be so endlessly exploited? This area isn't even "Palm Beach adjacent."

Anonymous said...

Anon 1:35... my 10086 Sunset was an allusion to the fictional address of another Tinseltown diva.... Hell city desk? No, no, don't bother with the rewrite man, take it direct...."

Anonymous said...

1:31 - I just looked it up. Madonna's BH house is 9425 Sunset Blvd.

It was extensively expanded and renovated a few years ago so any facts you will likely encounter online about the size & value are not going to reflect the house that is there now.

Anonymous said...

Too obscure for me. But that reference is not only a fictional address but a fictional person...unlike Madonna.

Anonymous said...

Point taken. However, it would put undue pressure on my synapses to regard Madonna as "real"...sorry, but no can do.

Anonymous said...

The third commenter just said it, the rumor isn't true! Please pray for Natasha Richardson!

Anonymous said...

she better rethink this. this place looks like it smells of moth balls and vick's vapor rub! now that Guy's running around with elle macpherson, Madge better do "light and bright" real quick-like! it's way too estee lauder or lily pulitzer!!!!!

Anonymous said...

1:52 - We can debate whether Madonna has any *real* talent but don't think there is much question of being a real person. Of course the discussion of her talent (or lack thereof) might be shortlived as I suspect we would agree.

Calling an APB on Aunt Mary -- Staging Lady and the seldom heard from Strapping Hunk. We need to do a Burt Reynolds' scale rescue on this hot mess of interiors. Possibly relocate some of Burt's Florida shit (OMG) here as an improvement.

I'm thinking a midnight rendezvous at a rest stop somewhere near this place.

Others, jump on board. This one isn't pretty and won't be easy. But there will be pleanty of Port and chocolates.

10086 sunset blvd was the fictional address of norma desmond's mansion in Sunset Boulevard. But it was actulally:
The mansion, formerly belonging to J. Paul Getty, was on Wilshire Blvd. at Irving Blvd. Today, a Getty Oil office building stands on the site. Five years later, the same pool on the grounds of the deserted Getty mansion was used for one of the final scenes in Rebel Without a Cause (1955).]

I just want to say publicly to Mama and all the other chirren how nice it is around here now that we ain't scrappin' and talking trash! Me and my sister have been staying away 'cause we were simply too shocked at some of the nasty stuff going on. We are faithful readers of Mama, and we are so proud she finally put the fear of Jesus in y'all!
You know down here in Texas we have a saying - "It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!".

Of all the little items out there, Mama goes with this. Interesting. Snookered by a real estate lady in Wellington? I. . . don't think so. Yeah, maybe Madonna et al have been invited down by Nacho and his wife to watch him play (watch out wife!) this weekend, and maybe they arranged to have whomever lend/rent them this place for the weekend. That's it. Remember Madonna's little horse accident, supposedly the beginning of the end for her and Guy because he wasn't "supportive" enough afterwards? She's not a rider. She's not going to spend any more part of the month in Wellington, but she could have well laid out 50k for the weekend, long or otherwise.

Anonymous said...

I don't know whether Madge is renting this place or not, but there are pictures and whatnot of her hanging about in Wellington with Nacho.

Thanks for the link. According to this, Madonna is supposedly learning how to be a show jumper, and training in Wellington. I don't think so. But they do have a picture of her with Nacho and Delphina, so apparently she was down there, probably making snide comments to anyone who would listen about the decor of the house she was up in.

I love the pool area, I'd go swim in there every day of the week. The interiors look very homey and comfortable.

Anonymous said...

Wellington is a weird disconnect. Utterly banal inland Florida landscape coupled with utterly banal development coupled with horsey/smart set/Millbrook/Hamptons types who otherwise wouldn't be caught dead in a place like this.

Anonymous said...

JEALOUS???? hahaha, Madge is one of the ugliest women in Hollywood, or Wellington for that matter. I love her new triangle face.

This woman is the biggest bitch with no talent. I still want my $ back from the confessions tour when I still liked her.

ohhhh. she's a lesbian. now it all makes more sense.

kelly, that is.

It's very Estee Lauder or Lily Pulitzer...which in Madonna's case is not a good thing.

Also, this place is in Wellington, not Palm Beach and there's just no excuse for that sort of dishonesty.

does anybody recall that story about Kelly Klein? Mama, mama, can you hear me? It was quite a spread, wherever it was. I'm thinking Wellington, though.

OK Princess, here you go. Her Wellington home was featured in the May 2007 issue of Elle Decor and is yet another example of her clean and chic style. Of course, just like in her New York apartment photographs of horses and beautiful books are prominently displayed. It's also light and airy and

There is probably as much, if not more, money in Wellington than in the Hamptons, Palm Beach, etc...but the only reason to be there is if your child competes on the NHSA circuit...which in itself costs a fortune to do!

I dont mean to point out the obvious but $50k per month over a 25year period is about $15mil. (yes i kno interest rates bla bla bla)

Madonna can do so much better than this!

Oh Mama, it looks like the celesbians DeGenerossi are househunting again. Portia de Rossi was on Leno just last night as well telling a story about being interested in a property owned by her friend, because said property is big enough to keep horses in (as you very well know, Portia loves to ride...horses). The property, according to El DG's wifey has a quarter-mile driveway but she didn't say who this friend was. Now Mama, would you happen to know the identity of said friend.

I love the nasty comments towards Madonna. It shows all the bitterness and resentment of the ones writting them, the ones actually taking time to talk badly about someone they don't like. It says a lot about their lives ( or therefor lack of).

Anonymous said...

6:46 - You are stating the obvious about 90% the negative comments regardless of the celebrity. The other 10% of the negative comments are coming from the sad little people who have no friends and their only means of communication with the real world is to insult and wait for the celebrities' fans to reply defending the celebrity.

Madonna HAS indeed just bought for herself a THIRTY EIGHT MILLION DOLLAR UES crib. Done deal. Good for her! She's enjoying the fruits of her labor (among other fruits lol)and couldn't CARE an ounce what her pathetic haters think or say.

Beautiful children, strong spirituality (despite all those hollow naysayers), a thriving philanthropic endeavor, a still white hot, record-breaking career rounding out it's third decade, a hot boyfriend, a name that can just about make everyone else's pale in comparison, a productive creative life, tons of money, lots of good friends, and MOST OF ALL, an absence of any CRAZY MELTDOWN despite life's ups and downs (so frustrating that she's so... sane, isn't it, guys?)-- whew! she has it all... :)

btw... yeah, this rental is too granny...

12:02 - "Hard Candy" only certified Gold. That is half a million copies.

Compare that to the train wreck everyone wrote off in 2008 named Britney Spears whose "Circus" album has already certified Platinium. That is twice as many copies.

Or Beyonce's "I Am Sasha Fierce" at 2x Platinum, that is 4 times as many copies.

Hardly what I would call "white hot". By your standard, Jessica Simpson's career is "white hot" with a gold certification of her last album.

Anonymous said...

^ Ha, by YOUR standard, the US would be the ONLY country in the world and Billboard the only music charts. Very smart of you! LOL

FYI, in case you don't know, by the end of '08, Madonna's "Hard Candy" was the SECOND biggest selling album of the year by a solo artist, topped only by Duffy's "Rockferry". It would make HC then the highest seller by an AMERICAN artist in the WORLD, counting the US of course. Add to that, her single "4 minutes" has gone double platinum, becoming one of the year's biggest selling singles either in physical form or downloads-- a feat not achieved by even "Single ladies" or "Womanizer"

And had Madonna not going away from Warner's, HC would've been recertified platinum by now for sales almost reaching 800k, which, for other albums sales exceeding 700k is enough for a platinum certification..

Beyonce's and Britney's albums may have sold more in the US, but they TANKED globally, each not approaching anywhere near the global sales level of HC, each nowhere near the number of countries HC has gone #1 in. Ha, so much for them being hotter than a 50 year old!

And since no one really is selling records all that much anymore, Madonna has proven time and again to be the biggest stage draw of all: her latest tour has just become the highest grossing concert tour OF ALL TIME by a solo artist, male or female, filling STADIUMS. Now, please wake me if Britney or Beyonce can ever DO stadiums, ok?

But, as Mama says, we digress.. So, going back to real estate: I hope realestalker will have a report soon on M's THIRTY EIGHT MILLION DOLLAR UES house.. :)

Anonymous said...

anon 7:21 AM...

Can you explain to me how Beyonce's and Britney Spear's albums "tanked" globally when "I Am… Sasha Fierce" sold a million copies and "Circus" sold one point five million copies outside the U.S.

To date, Madonna's "Hard Candy" has sold only five hundred thousand copies more than "Circus" and slightly over two hundred thousand copies more than "I Am… Sasha Fierce" in total album sales worldwide.I find Britney and Beyonce's sales more impressive in the current music climate, seeing as neither of those artist had to created media controversy to stay relevant.Unlike Madonna, who divorce a husband, did her best Angelina Jolie imitation, broke up the married of a superstar athlete, and paraded around the world with a man child young enough to be her son.

Anonymous said...

Britney Spears, not created a media controversy??? Where have YOU been 7:36, in a cave? So you are now looking for digs here in the outside world? hahaha!

The thing is, in this youth obsessed world, a woman who is "old" at 50 trounces her much younger and supposedly hotter rivals! And please, don't be daft, those Madonna "controversies" are not media baiting: they happen way AFTER her album release. And ARoid's marriage was HIS and his wife's fault, not M's.

Well, what can haters do, Madonna is a winner! LOL
